hot weather & shipping policy

hey bestie! because our products have a natural and organic base, hot weather may cause certain items to melt during shipping. on this page we'll address how we combat this and what to do if you receive a melted product.

all of our butter based products are more likely to melt during hot weather. this includes body milks, butters, polishes & whipped soaps.

during warmer months we ship butter based products with insulated wrap and ice packs. also, we use priority mail shipping so the shipping time is as short as possible (less time to melt in transit).

there are a few things you can do to ensure that your product reaches you perfect! (if you live in cooler states, disregard this). firstly, select priority mail shipping (2 days) and purchase route package protection. this insures that your package is protected and insured. although we don't issue refunds or replacements for melted product, we DO for leaking or broken product. secondly, track your package and view your expected delivery day. on the day of your pacakage delivery, make sure you are home to receive the package. packages that sit on your porch are way more likely to melt. if you know you won't be home to receive your package, you can request that your local post office hold your package for you to pick up.

if your product reaches you melted, allow it to sit at room temperature until it hardens. although it may look as if it's not all the way full, that's because the fluffy consistency of the initial volume has decreased once the product melted. once it hardens, you can use the product as normal.
